Cate Sports Academy Nike Volleyball Camp is designed to prepare the athlete for competition at the highest level. Experienced coaches will provide individual instruction based on positions as well as focusing on the mental aspect of the game. To start off the week, athletes will focus on basics. Ensuring form, technique and fundamentals are sound before moving on specific skills and positions with daily scrimmages, preparing them for games on Friday.

Meaghan Wheeler is a graduate of Chaminade College Preparatory of West Hills, CA, where she received a D1 collegiate scholarship to Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. After competing for her 4 years, she holds numerous records in the program. Upon graduation, she moved back to her hometown of Chatsworth, CA, after being hired for the Club Director position of her previous club, Industry VBC. This also allowed her training possible as she pursued a professional beach volleyball career. She was the club director of Industry VBC from years 2013-2020 where she also headed up the 12U youth program along with assisted and head coached many of the travel teams during those 7 years. She ran a summer indoor and beach volleyball camps through Industry VBC every summer along with development recreational leagues aside from club. She also spent the year 2018-2019 as the Pierce Junior College Assistant coach and also assisted the Reseda HS program for both girls and boys 2017-2019. She currently coaches the U14 girls travel team at Santa Barbara Volleyball Club and does private lessons weekly. She has currently shifted her primary career focus in the last 2 years to body work and movement therapy. She studies resistance flexibility and fascia tissue regeneration through the Genius of Flexibility in Santa Barbara. Through this work she focuses on the manipulation of fascia tissue to relieve pain in the body and increase range of motion. Through this work, she is able to assist her volleyball knowledge with the movement of the body.
