Strength and Conditioning Add-on

Cate Sports Academy offers an exciting opportunity for athletes looking to enhance their camp experience.  Campers will be woken up a little earlier than their peers and with have a 90 minute strength and conditioning session Tuesday - Friday with our Trainers. This EXOS style program has been implemented at Cate School for their athletes this past year and not only have they seen increased performance, it has also drastically reduced the number of injuries during season across all sports.

Participating day campers may be dropped off at the Gym at 7:00am

Strength and Conditioning Coach

Josh Peterson

As a former Division 1AA athlete (football), Josh is no stranger to the world of sports and strength and conditioning. Before coming to Cate, he lived and worked at Phillips Exeter Academy, where he coached varsity football and indoor and outdoor track, and at the Hotchkiss School, serving as a golf coach. Before working in boarding schools, he worked as an exercise physiologist/personal trainer for various colleges, physical therapy clinics, retirement communities, and health and fitness facilities. He also started his own private training practice while living in New York.

He enjoys anything to do with physical activity and loves playing sports with his two sons, Jack and Kingston. He lives in the CHE/CHLL dormitory with his three children and wife, Kadeine Peterson (biology teacher and Multicultural Programming Coordinator).
