Originally from Central New York, Shannon began pursuing her career at Elmira College where, as an undergrad, she was a student athletic trainer with various athletic teams and an intern at St. Mark's School in Massachusetts. While at Elmira she created her own major geared towards graduate school requirements and graduated with her BA in Pre-Physical Therapy in 2008. Following graduation, Shannon went on to pursue her Masters in Athletic Training at Seton Hall University where she completed semester long clinical rotations at The Lawrenceville School, at Lenape Valley Regional High School, and with The Somerset Patriots Minor League baseball team. She also presented a two-year-long group research project at the National Athletic Trainers Association annual meeting in 2010. After graduation in 2010, Shannon moved to Massachusetts to take a position as the Athletic Trainer at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School and as a personal trainer at The Body Workshop in Dedham, MA. Shannon is Cate School's athletic trainer during the academic year, and she is excited to join CSS as well. When she's not in the athletic training room, you can find her hitting the field hockey ball, working out, or at the beach!
